Time for Flu Shots!

Once again I'm bewildered about whether to get a flu shot or not. I'm just not one to take medication into my body unless I honestly *need* too.

I think instead I'll follow the recommendations of Dr. Mercola (you can search his site for more info on flu shots):
"... it’s important to remember the revealing study researchers did over 60 years ago. In 1938, the only laboratory animal that could contract polio by experimental inoculation was the monkey. All other laboratory animals were completely resistant to the polio virus, including the rabbit. The researchers could not infect these rabbits with polio -- that is, until they lowered their blood sugar in a way that also occurs in humans after they eat sugar. So the take-home message is that if you want to avoid the flu, avoid sugar like the plague. Avoiding sugar is the single most important physical factor that you can address to avoid the flu."

Edited to say: I try to take all nutritional/homeopathic advice with a grain of salt and "in balance." One M.D.'s nutritional advice I truly trust is Dr. Colbert M.D.
