Yesterday and today myself and hospice volunteers have been sitting with a man who is alone up here and at the end of his life. His family is coming from out-of-state - arriving this evening. In the mean time, we sat with him, held his hand, held the phone to his ear when loved ones called, and cared. This morning I received a call from a dear friend of his and it was precious to me to learn a bit about this man, who now is no longer a stranger. This man was the foreman for the "Earthworks" Amelia Earhart project of Stan Herd. Beautiful art.
I'm so grateful for the volunteers that said yes and have been there. My heart is full this afternoon. I do love the work of Hospice.
